Semester-II

English - II

The Students will gainimprovement in their English language abilities across listening, speaking, reading, and writing and in their knowledge of legal language, including an understanding of legal vocabulary and concepts and their appropriate usage.Students will be able to use legal language to synthesize and articulate rules of law. Students will apply skills useful for legal studies, including case briefing, issue spotting, effective note taking, study and time management skills.

Political Science - II

Conceptual knowledge about power and authority of a political entity introduced with utilitarianism advance our students to develop ideological political thought for peaceful co-existence and harmony in the society.

Psychology

This course explores the interface of psychology and law. Legal psychology as a sub-discipline of psychology and an example of interdisciplinary study in law is described and its historical and future development would be discussed. The course offers a critical perspective on legal psychology as well as invites students to be critical about the legal treatment of psychological concepts in statute and case law. Students are also shown how to research the interdisciplinary literature via relevant databases, and are given confidence to research and work with empirical psychological report. Personal traits would be streamlined to overcome modern issues like divorce for petty issues, parenting, appropriate nourishment from society etc.

Law of Torts

As Sir Frederik Pollock identified this course as a course for regulation of human behaviour, we promote or advance this course so as to mould our student towards human behaviour. Bhopal gas tragedy and its failure to meet the legitimate expectations of those victims would be our concern for preventing such kind of issues in and around our region.

Consumer Protection Law

Historical perception of this law in and outside our country apart from all relevant statutes like Agricultural Produce Act, Drugs and Cosmetic Act, Bureau of Indian Standards Act etc. would give our student a comprehensive knowledge and exposed to identify the relevant provision for a problem in addition to advocating for litigation free society. Consumer Protection as advanced through various laws consisting of Consumer Protection Act,1986, Competition Commission of India Act would be advanced for needy person through his ideal perception, developed during his scientific study.
